Montgomery County Government employees must submit employment verification requests online through the ePortal Employee Self-Service (ESS). When a request for employment verification is submitted, the automated system will send a verification letter directly to the email address provided by the requestor. If employment verification is for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, please search for that topic. Companies requesting employment verification for mortgages, loans, rental applications, etc., must provide the employee with a valid email account, so the employee can request the employment verification be sent directly to the company. The County issues a standard online employment verification letter, which provides department, position, hire date, annual salary, and status. The County does not complete outside forms. If an employee cannot access ESS, please contact the HELP desk or immediate supervisor for assistance.
