The Department of Environmental Protection has limited resources available to assist businesses with implementing the bag law. We offer Point of Sale cards and entrance posters to inform customers of the charge, reminder cards and break room posters for cashiers to help remember the law, and training programs to ensure all staff are aware of and understand the Carryout Bag Law.
The Department of Environmental Protection gives away reusable bags while supplies last at locations throughout the county to support the Carryout Bag Law. Residents may obtain a free reusable bag at the following locations: all public Libraries, SNAP benefit offices, HHS Neighborhood Opportunity Network offices, Medicaid Outreach, and Manna Foods.
