The Department of Recreation senior centers, located throughout Montgomery County, have a variety of offerings. See the first link below. Some of the offerings include congregate meals through the senior lunch program; socialization; special activities, and more. The lunch program is for persons 60 or older and their spouses, of any age, and is operated throughout the County, at various locations. Meals are available for a voluntary donation. Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) is for residents who are homebound due to illness or disability. This program provides one hot and one cold meal per day and is delivered by volunteers. For information, determine which Meals on Wheels organization serves the resident's address. Click on the second link below and enter the zip code of the address in zip field. A list of participating organizations delivering in the given area will come up. Contact the Meals on Wheels program you are interested in.
