The immunization (vaccine) schedule for the 24 ? 25 school year calendar is now available, see links below. From June through September 2024, vaccines are free to all MCPS students even if they have insurance. Vaccines include: Tdap, Meningococcal ACWY, Meningococcal B, Varicella and Human papillomavirus. After September, regular vaccine for children (VFC) clinic days are offered to children aged 18 years or younger. Please register your child online for an appointment by clicking the link below.
At least one of the following criteria must be met to be eligible for free recommended immunizations:
The child does not have health insurance; the child is covered by Medicaid; the child has health insurance that does not cover vaccines; or child is Alaskan native or American Indian.
Note: the office will ensure recommended childhood vaccines are up to date for travel, but does not provide travel specific vaccines. Call 240.777.1050 for additional information or to set up an appointment for recommended children?s vaccines.
Vaccination records and requirements can be obtained/viewed online at no cost at Maryland Department of Health, click on their web portal (link below). According to Maryland Law (COMAR) a parent may delegate verbally or in writing the parent's authority to consent to the immunization of a minor to any of the following individuals: A grandparent; an adult brother or sister; an adult aunt or uncle; a stepparent; or any other adult who has care and control of the minor.
