The Housing Code Enforcement unit investigates complaints regarding the infestation of bedbugs, mice, rats or roaches in residential rental units. The property owner is responsible for extermination in multi-family rental units and the tenant is responsible in single family rental units. See Section 26-9(a)(9) of Chapter 26, Housing and Building and Maintenance Standards on the attached link for the Code reference.
