A nonprofit swim club is eligible for a real property tax credit against the general County tax and special service area taxes, provided it uses its facilities exclusively to provide a recreational outlet for a local community. In the year for which the credit is applied, the nonprofit swim club must provide the County with documentation that shows it is a nonprofit entity, and must certify to the county that its facilities are used solely for the purposes stated. The required documentation to receive the tax credit is as follows: 1) A copy of its Articles of Incorporation; 2) current Certificate of Good Standing from the State of Maryland.
