Under Montgomery County Code, Section 5-203(a)(6), pet owners must not allow their animals to make noise that is loud and persistent enough to disturb another person?s quiet enjoyment of their property. Violations of this ordinance may result in a $100 fine.

To report an animal causing a noise disturbance, contact the Office of Animal Services by calling the Police Non-Emergency Line at 301-279-8000 and pressing 2.
