A permit is required to close a street for a block party or other event on a County maintained road. The first step in this process is to fill out and submit a permit application form. The form can be found and downloaded from the website referenced below. The completed form must be submitted four (4) weeks prior to the event to the Montgomery County Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Engineering and Operations, 100 Edison Park Drive, 4th Floor, Gaithersburg, MD 20878, or emailed to mcdot.trafficops@montgomerycountymd.gov.
