The Board of Elections will conduct training sessions for over 4,000 Election Judges prior to the next election. There are three phases of training: two on-line and a hands on in a classroom setting. Information on the training location and directions will be posted on the BOE website. The Office is located at: 18753 N. Frederick Avenue, Suite 210, Gaithersburg, MD. 20879. All election judges are provided information indicating their training time and class location. Training typically consists of 3 to 5 hours, depending on the nature of the position. Election judges who serve during an election day cycle will be compensated for training. Previous editions of the manual can be recycled by bringing them to the BOE or a training site. For persons interested in becoming an Election Judge, contact the BOE. BOE does not provide transportation to training sites.
