The requirements for a pool operator are as follows: pass an examination; age 17 or older; 520 hours of previous experience (at an aquatic pool, with certificate) or 1040 hours experience (no certificate). Additionally, pool operators are to be re-examined every 3 years; and be approved by Licensure and Regulatory Services.
