Radon Testing Law for Sale and Purchase of Homes/Properties

County law requires that a radon test be performed up to one year prior to the settlement date for single-family homes and townhomes located in the County. This requirement is contained in Chapter 40 of the County Code, as amended by County Bill 31-15, Sale of Real Property.
