Value of MPDU by State Assessment Office

The real estate taxes on an MPDU will be based on the MPDU price. The State Department of Assessments and Taxation is aware if a unit is an MPDU. The assessed value of the MPDU will reflect the maximum MPDU resale price. If an MPDU owner believes that their MPDU has been assessed incorrectly, they can appeal the assessment. To obtain more information about the appeals process, visit the website below. Obligation to pay taxes is not stayed or suspended pending an appeal from the assessment. Property taxes are due even if there is an appeal.

To reach the local office, dial: 240.314.4510.

After the control period has expired, the MPDU will be assessed at a market rate.
