The Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) is an agency that enforces the County's consumer laws, investigates and conciliates consumer-merchant disputes, mediates disputes between local businesses for free, licenses and registers certain businesses, provides outreach and education to the community about consumer protection issues, and administers the County's Domestic Worker Law.

Effective October 11, 2017, the office has temporarily relocated to 1451 Seven Locks Road, Rockville, Maryland, 20854. Walk-in traffic should be directed to the Seven Locks Road address. The OCP anticipates that it will return to the Maryland Avenue location in the Fall-Winter of 2018.
