For residents of Montgomery County who keep their address current with the Board of Elections, registration is permanent in Maryland. Even if the resident did not vote in the last election, they are still registered so long as they live at the same address (Resident should still be receiving election material in the mail). However, if the voter moved to a different address or has not voted in the last several elections, they may have been sent a notice requesting that they either confirm that they have not moved or provide current residence address information.
