Once a residential building permit has been issued, the DPS Permit Technician will schedule a sign inspection 3 days after issuance.
On the day of the scheduled sign inspection, the residential building inspector will drop off the sign to the property listed on the issued permit. If there is no answer at the front door, the inspector will leave the yellow building permit placard at the front entry, along with a sticker providing their contact information. The sign must be installed per the directions on the back of the document. Once the sign is posted, a picture must be next to the residential building inspector whose contact information is listed on the sticker attached to the sign. The inspector will verify the sign is posted properly once the image has been received and approve the sign inspection under the building permit. No further permit inspections will occur until the sign inspection has been approved.
If you wish to reschedule a sign inspection, you may do so by contacting MC311 at 240.777.0311
