Obtaining a Copy of Certificate of Completion After Taking the MPDU First Time Homebuyer Class

A First-Time Homebuyer Class is one of the requirements to participate in the MPDU Purchase Program. The MPDU Program has a contract with The Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL). You can contact them by email: MPDU@gwul.org to request a copy of your certificate of completion.

There are also 2 other agencies in Montgomery County offering this class, and from whom MPDU would recognize a certificate of completion. They are: 1) Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc., and 2) Latino Economic Development Center. DHCA does not track registrations to these classes and only receives notice from GWUL of class attendance after the class is complete. If attending an outside agency's class, it is best to look at any emails received while communicating with the agency, or registration confirmations. Look at one of the links below to locate any contact information, and to request a copy of the certificate from the correct organization. NOTE: The class must have been taken within the last two years for the certificate to be valid. Otherwise, you must retake the class

If you are trying to notify the MPDU program that you have taken this class from an agency other than GWUL, and want to receive credit for attending, please call MC311 at 240-777-0311 and ask to speak to a MPDU staff.
