Please contact the settlement attorney so that the deed may be re-recorded to correct the error. There will be no Transfer/Recordation Tax assessed for this correction.
To change a name on a deed, a new deed must be submitted. Bring the new deed to the Finance Transfer Office (address above) for review and stamping, then it can be taken to Land Records in the County Courthouse (50 Maryland Ave #2120) for recording. They will charge a recording fee of $60.00 (payable by cash or check). Court Recording Office can be reached at 240.777.9470.
