Community Development (CDBG) Public Service Grants

Public Service CDBG funds are awarded annually to eligible non-profits through a competitive application process. Grants of up to $45,000 can be awarded, and activities must benefit low- and moderate-income County residents. Applications are available online and are typically due in late September each year. Staff screens applications for eligibility and applicants present their proposed projects during October and November to the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC), a group of volunteers appointed by the County Executive for up to 3 year terms. The CDAC makes final recommendations as to which applications will be funded and at what amounts.
