Shared Profit During Sale of Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) Once the Control Period has Expired/ended

When an MPDU property is sold for the first time after the initial control period has expired, the property owner is required under MPDU law to pay a shared profit to Montgomery County. Information on shared profit is available on the MPDU website, accessible by clicking on the link below, under Section D, "Request for shared profit calculation." The County also has a right of first refusal to purchase the MPDU.
