Housing Initiative Program (HIP)

Housing Initiative (HIP) is a program designed to reduce the incidence of homelessness in Montgomery County by providing permanent supportive housing for those individuals and families that live in emergency or transitional shelters which include hotels/motels, are exiting an institution and/or sleeping in a place not designed for regular sleeping accommodation, including cars, parks, bus/train stations, camping grounds etc. For questions or concerns about the Housing Initiative Program, contact the program voice mail box for a return call within 48 hours: 240.773.1049, or send an email: HIP@montgomerycountymd.gov.
