Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection is partnering with private sector and government facilities to increase recycling of food scraps. The participating locations will have DEP provided green carts for the food scraps. The food scraps will be collected by a DEP truck and transported to either the Prince George's County Western Branch composting facility or the BioEnergy Devco anaerobic digestion facility for processing.
