Transportation Guide for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities (cost, locations, fare card)

The Montgomery County Guide to Transportation Resources for Seniors and People with Disabilities offers information on transportation options in the County and is available online at the URL link below. Senior SmarTrip cards may be purchased at any library in Montgomery County. To qualify, seniors must be 65 years or older, and proof of age is required at the time of purchase.

One may also purchase cards at the Division of Treasury office staff at 27 Court House Square, Suite 200, Rockville, MD. 20850 (Mon-Fri from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

Locations at Silver Spring (8404 Colesville Road, 2nd level, Silver Spring, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM through 4:00 PM) and The Mobile Commuter Store are available for SmarTrip card sales also.

The Transit Accessibility (TA) Center offers services to customers with disabilities. The TA Center is located at Metro headquarters, 600 Fifth Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. All office visits are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 202.962.2700 or TTY 202.962.2033. The Jewish Council For the Aging (Connect-A-Ride) service also provides general information and assistance to the senior population for programs and services to assist with mobility and care services. Please call 301.738.3252.
