Senior SmartTrip cards are free and may be obtained at any library in Montgomery County (there is no value on the card at the time of pick up). To qualify, seniors must be 65 years or older and proof of age is required at the time of pick up. In addition, the Division of Treasury at 27 Courthouse Square, Suite 200, Rockville, MD (Mon-Fri from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) handles retail sales. Also, the Mobile Commuter Store and Silver Spring TRIPS Commuter Store located at 8404 Colesville Road, Level 2 of the Paul Sarbanes Transit Center (Mon-Fri from 6:00 AM-6:00 PM and Sat - Sun from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) are available for SmartTrip card sales.
