Reporting a Stray Animal

Call the Office of Animal Services via the police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 to have the animal picked up. Please also go to Pet Harbor. com and file a Found report, post on NextDoor, or call the Animal Services and Adoption Center as soon as possible at 240.773.5900 to file a Found report.

A resident can take the animal to the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center located at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd., Derwood MD, 20855, or call the police non emergency number, 301.279.8000 to have the animal picked up, or care for the pet until an owner is located. Stray animals should be brought to the Animal Services entrance. The Center is open for the public to bring in stray animals daily between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. (The individual can also hold on to the animal to find the owner as long as they submit a found report)
