Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a cognitive-behavioral treatment program that is designed to increase positive self image with the goal of raising the level of moral reasoning. The program helps the inmates to begin to think about the implications of decisions they make and to give them the tools necessary to make decisions at a higher level of moral judgment. The MRT Programs at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility comprise the following: youthful offenders unit for inmates ages 21 and under, and treatment programs for adults (males and females), which combines a supervised Work Ethics Program with MRT.
