The Montgomery County Transfer/Recordation Office (in the Department of Finance, Division of Treasury) uses Simplifile, an electronic filing of legal documents and collection of Transfer tax and Recordation tax without delay of waiting for the documents to be handled by an individual. It can be used to process: simple purchase deeds, no consideration deeds, refinances, deeds of trusts, home equity loans, UCC financing statements (with and without consideration), easements, and rights of way.

Please note, as of July 1, 2020, the office will no longer use E-Transfer.
