Air Pollution - Outdoor

Common outdoor air pollution problems include dust from construction activities, odors and fumes, or visible emissions (other than steam) from commercial activities or illegal burning. The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) investigates complaints related to outdoor air pollution. Please refer to the links below for information about outdoor air pollution.

An investigator from DEP will typically contact the requestor within 3 business days, although resolution of the issue may take longer depending on the circumstances of the case.
