Differences Between Real Property and Personal Property Taxes

Real Property is assessed on the physical (land) and/or improved (dwelling) components of the property.

Personal Property is assessed on the assets and inventory of a company or business and is based on the company/business income tax return that is filed with the State of Maryland in Baltimore.
