HELP groups are volunteer programs providing food, and sometimes small grants and transportation across Montgomery County. Each group is different and may help based upon availability of resources. Faith Connections is another non-profit organization serving the Damascus, MD. area. The organization is a Christian ministry that works in collaboration with churches, government agencies and various organizations in the Damascus-Clarksburg area to provide emergency assistance to families in crisis situations and works in advocacy to support efforts to empower clients towards self-reliance.
