Adoption and Foster Care Inspections by the Department of Housing and Community Affairs

The DHCA Code Enforcement unit conducts inspections of dwelling units for safety/habitability for adoption and foster care participants. Applicants will be provided with a housing inspection form by their agency to complete. This form should be mailed, along with a check for $60.00 (inspection fee) made payable to Montgomery County, MD. Applicants working with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) DO NOT need to include a check with this form. This form should be mailed to the attention of Dan McHugh, Division of Housing and Code Enforcement, DHCA,1401 Rockville Pike Suite 400 Rockville, MD 20852. Applicants will be contacted by an inspector to schedule the inspection once information has been received. Upon a satisfactory inspection, the applicant and agency/case worker will receive a copy of this form.
