Supplemental Tax Bill Types and Coverage

Properties that were not fully assessed at the time of settlement will receive a supplemental levy (tax) bill. See link for complete details, including information about general assessment information. Second link will allow you to see a particular property and current assessment value of that property. Contact the settlement attorney's office to verify that payment was collected at the time of settlement, and contact the lender if payment was collected and placed into an escrow account.

Supplemental bills are due 30 days after the last day of the month they are issued. Example: bill is dated May 3, then payment is expected by June 30th. There are three types of supplemental bills: 3/4-year bill: covering October to June; 1/2-year bill: covering January to June; and 1/4-year bill: covering April to June. Supplemental tax bills are mailed only to the homeowner. If the homeowner escrows their taxes and would like the lender to pay a supplemental bill, the homeowner must contact their lender. If you would like to reach the back office, contact 311 during regular business hours.
