Permanent full-time and part-time employees are automatically enrolled in Basic Life Insurance on their date of hire. Basic Life Insurance is one times the basic annual salary (up to $200,000) for employees under age 65. For employees age 65 and over, Basic Life Insurance is 65% the basic annual salary. Employees can view their annual salary on their payslip in Employee Self-Service.
To view your current Optional Life Insurance amount, visit Employee Self-Service. From the Single Sign-On logon page, click Employee Self Service (ESS), then Go to Employee Self Service. Next, click on MCG HR Employee Self-Service, then Self-Service Benefits, and then select View Current Benefits. The Optional Life Insurance face value is displayed. The Basic Life Insurance will not be displayed on this page.
To request proof of the amount of your Basic Life Insurance, please submit a Service Request to have a Confirmation Statement mailed to your home address.
