Process to File Complaints With the Ethics Commission

To initiate a complaint with the Ethics Commission, a letter must be addressed and sent to the Commission alleging facts under oath that would support a reasonable person in concluding that a violation of the Public Ethics Law or Sections 2-109, 11B-51 or 11B-52(a) of the Montgomery County Code occurred. See the Ethics Law, 19A-10 which explains the process for filing a complaint.
