Bedbugs, Roaches, Mice, Rat Infestation/Extermination in Residential Rental Units

The Housing Code Enforcement unit investigates complaints regarding the infestation of bedbugs, mice, rats or roaches in residential rental units. If this is a complaint regarding infestation at a restaurant, please see topic: "REPORTING FOOD POISONING OR SANITATION CONCERNS AT A RESTAURANT". If it is a complaint re: rats on private non-rental property, please see topic: "RATS, MICE, RODENT COMPLAINTS". The property owner is responsible for extermination in multi-family rental units and the tenant is responsible in single family rental units. See Section 26-9(a)(9) of Chapter 26, Housing and Building and Maintenance Standards on the attached link for the Code reference.
