The Montgomery County Community Action Agency's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering Appointment Plus, which is now open to schedule appointments for VITAs off season.
The program will be preparing prior year, amended, and current year (2023) taxes from June 17, 2024, until October 24, 2024. VIRTUAL appointments will be prepared on Mondays; In-person appointments Tuesday through Thursday; and ITIN applications every Wednesday. To set up an appointment, call 240.777.1123. Please note, program staff will ask specific questions to make sure one is eligible for a virtual appointment and tell you what documents are needed and how to submit them to VITA. In-person appointments are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our Rockville location, the Community Action office, located at 1401 Rockville Pike, Suite 320, from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
