Long Term Care Ombudsman

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is an advocacy program working on behalf of residents in nursing homes and licensed assisted living facilities, including senior group homes. They help identify, investigate, and resolve problems. An Ombudsman helps residents and their families understand and exercise their rights guaranteed by federal and state law.

There are 34 nursing homes and approximately 190 assisted living facilities in Montgomery County served through a combination of professional staff and certified volunteer advocates. For additional information call the program office: 240.777.3369.
