Montgomery County has retired the old Alert Montgomery messaging system. All user records were copied to the new Alert Montgomery system in October, 2014. At that time, recipients were requested to register in the new system. The County retired the old Alert Montgomery system in December 2016. Any previous users must register for a new account through Everbridge to continue receiving alerts.

The new Alert Montgomery system offers many features such as a smart phone application for Android and Apple platforms, geographic based weather alerts, and the capability to deliver emergency messages on various devices such as cell phone, text messages, email, mobile app and home phone.
