The Multifamily Section receives applications on a rolling basis. Applications are sent to the Multifamily Housing Manager, who manages the fund and routes the loan request to a Loan Officer. The Loan Officer reviews the request, and presents it to the Housing Loan Review Committee (HLRC). The HLRC makes a recommendation to the Director, who has final authorization to approve or deny a loan. For approved loans, the Loan Officer works with internal staff, loan recipients, and participating lenders to oversee the project through completion. A completed project enters the DHCA's portfolio, which is monitored by the Loan Manager.
