The Office of Human Rights participates with the Department of Housing and Community Affairs on the annual survey of multi-family rental facilities in Montgomery County. The Human Rights section of the survey asks for information on disability accommodations and the racial/ethnic background of rental unit residents in the county. Rental facilities with 12 or more units are required to respond but others with fewer units may respond. A response is required from facilities located within Montgomery County, including those in unincorporated areas and municipalities of Rockville, Gaithersburg and Takoma Park
