The Ride On Youth Cruiser SmarTrip Card is available to Montgomery County residents, 18 and under (older if still in high school). This Youth Cruiser SmarTrip card provides free rides and is accepted on ALL MCDOT's bus routes and on most Metrobuses within the County. It can be used as a regular SmarTrip card on Metrorail by adding value to the card.

Customers requesting the card must complete an application and provide proof of age and residency. Proof of age/residency documents include birth certificate, passport, driver's license, state issued ID, report card or mail (with name/address for residency).

Customers must contact the SmarTrip Regional Customer Service Center (1.888.762.7874) to address SmarTrip card issues, including refunds.

The Youth Cruiser SmarTrip card may be obtained for free at: participating schools, Montgomery County libraries, Treasury, 27 Courthouse Square, Suite 200, Rockville MD 20850; TRIPs Stores (8404 Colesville Road, Level 2, Silver Spring) and on the TRIPS Mobile Commuter Store. NOTE: The Youth Monthly Pass and Youth Summer Pass are no longer sold.
