Building Energy Benchmarking - Montgomery County Building ID (MBID) Number

The building's Montgomery County Building ID (MBID) is a unique identifier for each covered building. The MBID for a covered building can be found on the County's covered building inventory. The MBID must be entered into ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager exactly as it appears on the covered buildings inventory (including any leading zeroes) for DEP to process a benchmarking submission. If you are reporting data for multiple buildings under one property, or are reporting multiple buildings on one parcel, please contact DEP for guidance.
