Penalty for Noncompliance With the Ethics Law

There are specific penalties for noncompliance with the Ethics Law. The Ethics Commission may seek monetary and other penalties; the County may take disciplinary actions up to and including removal of an employee, and violations are a Class A misdemeanor.
