Montgomery County offers public parking in Silver Spring, Bethesda, Wheaton, and Montgomery Hills central business districts. Per Maryland State Law, vehicles displaying valid handicap tags or placards may park at any metered space for double the time limit of that meter OR a maximum of 4 hours. Payment is not required during that time. Montgomery County permits drivers to park overnight in a garage, but the County is not liable for thefts or vandalism that may occur.
