Employee - Termination of Health Insurance
The date that health insurance ends depends on the circumstances. When an employee leaves County employment, your last day of coverage will be the date you receive your last pay. (However, you will not receive coverage for any pay received due to severance or leave pay-out.) Coverage also ends when a dependent turns age 26, or the day a divorce is stamped final. For applicable events, COBRA will be offered and a notice will be mailed out as an option if continued coverage is desired.
