Behavioral Health Planning and Management - Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) is the local behavioral health, (mental health and substance abuse) authority in the County. The LBHA strives to ensure that behavioral health consumers have access to quality treatment and rehabilitation services. They provide for the planning, oversight, monitoring, evaluation and service development of the Public Mental Health System which consists of community-based services in Montgomery County. Although the LBHA does not provide direct services, they do monitor and plan for current and future behavioral health services in Montgomery County across the life span.

The LBHA is located at: 401 Hungerford Drive, 1st Floor, Rockville, MD. 20850. Please contact the office at 240.777.1400 for further information. The office can also answer questions about how much money can be earned while still receiving SSDI, if the individual has a mental health diagnosis.
