The Maryland Health Connection (also known as Obama care or Affordable Care Act) is for residents of Maryland between the ages of 18 and 64, who don't have affordable health care; or cannot find it through work or on their own.
An individual or family can apply: on line (link below); by phone at the Maryland Health Connection Consumer Support Center, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM: 1.855.642.8572 (TTY: 1.855.642.8573); or at a walk in center (locations listed in link). Enrollment continues through March 31, 2014. Saturday sign up opportunities in Montgomery County will take place Saturday, March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at the Department of Health and Human Services Income Support offices: 8818 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, 20910 and 12900 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, 20874. Hours are from 10 AM to 4 PM, attendees should arrive by 3 PM for sign in.
