ACCESS to Behavioral Health and Crisis ServicesFind more information from the following link(s):
The Access to Behavioral Health Services provides phone information and referrals and in-person screening, assessments and referrals for mental health and substance abuse problems for low income Montgomery County residents who do not have health insurance or are having difficulty getting appropriate services. Screening and Assessment Services for Children and Adolescents (SASCA) serves children with substance abuse issues. Upon sending a service request, a therapist will contact a customer to conduct a telephone assessment to determine clinical and financial eligibility for consumers of all ages who need referrals to public mental health services. After a telephone screening, if a resident needs further assistance, walk-in behavioral health screenings and assessments are offered Monday through Friday, at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on a first-come, first-served basis for adults. Customers should arrive 30 minutes prior to the office walk-in times. Office address is: 255 Rockville Pike, Suite 145, Rockville, 20850. Access does not provide treatment but coordinates referrals to appropriate services. Access does not provide emergency or urgent care service. If private insurance does not cover mental health services, documentation would be needed for this on the insurance letterhead before proceeding with services. To be contacted about resources, please send a service request by selecting the "service request" button below. Please include name, and contact information.
