Registration for or Information Regarding Temporary or Limited Duration Signs
Temporary signs are permitted only on private property and must not be displayed for more than 30 days. Limited duration sign permits are required for non-permanent signs on private property displayed for more than 30 days, or within the public right-of-way on weekends only or for a 14-day period. To obtain a limited duration sign permit, a drawing of the area showing the proposed location of the sign in relation to nearby buildings and streets, a scaled drawing of the sign, and written permission of the property owner (if the sign is erected on private property) must be provided to the Department of Permitting Services. The fees for limited duration signs may be found in the DPS Executive Fee Regulations.
