Camp License

See URL 1 below for details about obtaining a Montgomery County license for a recreational camp. Online users who have additional questions and would like to be contacted by a departmental staff member may submit a request by clicking on the Create Service Request button below. Please complete all of the fields in the Contact Information section then scroll down to the bottom of the page and provide a brief description of the request in the Brief Description field.

Please note: additional information and approvals may be required, including (but not limited to): State Police for criminal background checks on all employees and staff. State Police background checks can be obtained by calling: 410.764.4501.

Permits will be needed for camp location. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue approval is also required. In addition, a Youth Camp permit from the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (contact at: 410.767.8419) will also be needed.

A licensed day care center that wants to change to a camp program must obtain State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene approval.

An application for a recreational camp may be made at: 255 Rockville Pike, 1st Floor, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Monday through Friday. Camp license application can be downloaded from URL below. It takes approximately 30 days to process a license.
