Registered voters who last resided in Maryland before departing the U.S. can vote in Maryland, and request an Absentee Ballot. Registered voters must submit a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA): Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Request to apply. The deadline for receipt of the completed and signed FPCA depends on how one would like to receive the ballot. If applicants are mailed or hand delivered they must be received by 8 PM on the day of deadline. If applications are faxed or emailed they must be received by 11:59 PM on the day of deadline. For the Primary Election, a request must be received (not just mailed) by:Tuesday June 17, 2014, in order to receive a ballot by mail or fax, or Friday, October 31, 2014, if one would prefer to download a ballot from the State's website. For the General Election, a request must be received (not just mailed) by: Tuesday October 28,2014, if one wants to receive a ballot by mail or fax,or Friday, October 31, 2014, if one would prefer to download your ballot from the State's website.
